Hi!
My name is Asher Jones, and I'm a non-union actor currently on contract in Skagway, Alaska, and usually based in Greensboro, North Carolina. As an actor, I have come to think of acting as a way of giving the gift of an experience to another, through the connection to a human. This paired with my love for theory-crafting is all consuming, and gives me a framework for life that also makes me appreciate truly everything the world has to offer, but it also makes me hungrier to understand even more. I have been performing onstage for over 11 years and have been performing professionally for 4 years. I recently graduated from UNC Greensboro with a degree in Drama, and a minor in Classical Studies.

Currently, I am working as Sluice Box Sammy in Dredge Town with Alaska360 in Skagway, Alaska! As Sluice Box Sammy, I give a tour of the town, move prospectors with my telekinesis, help them pan for gold, and tell the story of the Klondike Gold Rush.

I also recently just finished touring with Bright Star Touring Theatre as an actor in their North Carolina Duke Energy Tour, where I perform a variety of plays (in accordance with grade level) in a variety of roles in their 2-person shows.

In film, my most recent work was as Henry in the short film Not A Zombie Movie. The short is set to be submitted to a number of film festivals, after which it will be released for the public. I’m very proud of this role and the work that I did so I’m excited for this one to make its rounds! :)
